# 9. What would happen if a MKT order is submitted?

MKT order will **trigger matching immediately** provided there are LMT orders on the other side. Remaining unfilled quantity/amount from MKT will be discarded.

Therefore, submitting a MKT order is **the only way** if users want to **have immediate matching**.
